The Wind, Mountain, Water system of T’aiji, represents an evolutionary branch of traditional Yang style T’aiji, developed by T’aiji Master Richard Eversley during the course of his 45 years as a practitioner of the art.
The Wind Mountain Water style of T’aiji and meditation opens and uses a deep bond with nature. It encourages intimate connections to natural forces, with a comprehensive and sophisticated path of awakening that when practiced with sincerity and discipline can open a student to the power of Dao. We learn to feel the natural forces, the way they swirl and spiral, the way they rise and fall in waves, the way they surge and soften, reverse and rise, gather and radiate. These are the essences of the Shanshou Dao.
Shanshou Dao is the result of diligent sincere practicing while tuning into the unique energy of the Rocky Mountains in Colorado. Evolving through direct observation of nature, and unfiltered interactions with the primal, elemental energies. Thus the name of the school, Wind, Mountain, Water, and the name of the system, Way of the Mountain Hand, or Shanshou Dao.
